DESCRIPTION

The stamp shows rough and drop shape cut Rhodonite. It occurs in shades of red. In addition to it's red color, it usually has black dendrite inclusions of manganese oxide. The transparent varieties are very rare. It is also known as Manganese Gravel.

The stamps on the envelope depicts different Austrailian gemstones. There is also a cover picture that shows mining equipments in the background and it is signed by the designer of the stamps and cover, J. Mason.
